Yingkou port was opened to the outside world in 1861. One of the five earliest trade ports in China. It continues to be an important gateway between northeast China and the world.

The port Yingkou has shipping relationships with over 140 ports in 50 countries and regions around the world. Its major trading partners include Japan, Korea, and countries in Southeastern Asia. And over ten international shipping routes and more than 40 domestic container routes include the port of Yingkou.
